Wartburg at Coalfield

Yes we(coalfield) are having some problems offensively. And covering the pass... But to say we weren't injured against greenback is wrong.. You could tell 34 wasn't the same ball player as last year.. And if he had been that game could have been way different. Other than that. When you have a offensive built around one player and that player gets hurt it's hard to recover.

Last night at OS we shot ourselves in the foot 3-4 times. 3 fumbles inside the red zone... That hurts. I think the only thing coalfield should try to do now is line up under center and just run it down people's throat.. That shotgun stuff needs to go.. The holes are there but everything is so delayed running shotgun.. As for the wartburg game if we show up and play it could be ugly I doubt we would run the score up so probably the normal 46-7

If Coalfield could find a way to get Napier back to his guard position by finding someone else that could play center it would help them so much. He's so good at the guard position and it would be hard to find another guard in 1A as good as him.

I got a text from someone at the OS game last night. Said y'all were your own worst enemy in that game. They also said if Coalfield could fix a few things that the potential is there. Just need to shore up a few things.

We have been really all season... We should a beat that team by 28 points. Hopefully we get things squared away.

I agree 100% and if we go under center we could do that.

Sounds to me like you 2 need to take the coaches the game plan so they can go undefeated the rest of the year and win the state championship. Its as easy as that.

Im picking up on you being a jerk and that's ok. I simply said they are better with Napier at guard because he is one of the best in 1A. If you dont believe me watch his highlight tape on youtube. They have no one else to play center so he has to. The coaches have no choice but to play him there. Edited by KickinWing11

it looked like the pistol not shot gun to me. it was also hard to stop.i wouldn't change a thing. if they fix the turnovers and that is easy, coalfield will get even better. I thought we had the better team but we were out coached too. coalfields D is pretty good. they played much better in the secondary than we had seen on film. still hate losing to you guys. good luck the rest of the way.

You still run the pistol from shotgun. My whole point was to go under center...

Pistol is a little different from shotgun actually. It is not under center though. I'm not a coach but going from SHOTGUN to under center can change a lot of things for a qb. Like pass drops, angles to hand off the ball, depth behind the line when throwing too. To me it would be hard to change so much so fast. But, I never played a down. Just like watching and talking about it.

    • I havent kept up with Keeton since he went to Oakland, so hearing he is in a BOE role now, that may trump him coming back.  Rennard on the other hand. That dude is a Man Builder! And he was cut loose this spring from Scotts Hill. Heard him in a interview a few month back and he inspired me. He needs to be back home in the Purple & Gold, regardless of if he is HC or not or even if he doesnt coach at all, his presences will improve the environment. But Again, I have no clue if he would even be interested.

Not much shot to win a state title at Macon but could very well be a contender with the talent coming up through the peewee and junior high ranks in TC I hear. He my dark horse candidate. trousdale co fans could also brag to their neighbors that they talked their best coach into coming to TC on a year of such high expectations at Macon co.
