ripzip11
I have never seen Cookeville play football or any other sport for that mattter, so does anyone have any insight on what the Smoky Bears might see this friday night. Air attack, ground attack (I sure hope not). Skinny fast guys, big slow guys...skinny slow guys or big fast guys. Also, what color is Cookeville. I keep picturing them as being dark blue and orange but I have no idea why. I guess cause they are the cavaliers and Virginia is the only other Cavaliers I know of. theoldballcoachbaby
Blue red and white. They have 6'6" 235 lb QB. They have three guys who can score anytime they touch the ball...8, 24, 18.
Ballfielddad
They can dual attack, running or throwing. All size guys some fast so not so fast. One player has multiple one handed catches this year... How about those Bears?
gobears89
Multiple 1 handed catches? Now I know all I need to know about cookeville they dont teach to catch with 2 hands! Early line is at Bears -35 GoBears!!
Pioneer28
The chance for a cookeville win are about equal to Fulton losing in the first round. The bears have the advantage in offense, defense, special teams, and coaching. Oh yeah and home field advantage. It is always good to have the hump work to your advantage. Early prediction 42-7. Bears!!!
ripzip11
Now there are different levels of fast. Are we talking guys that run like a 4.7 or 4.8 or are we talking about guys that run like a 4.5 or 4.4. Sevier County is considered a pretty fast team around here and they have about 10-15 guys that run 4.5 or faster with a few in the 4.4 range. They have a very good offense that when clicking is hard to defend but their defense is not very good against the run game. They defend the pass well but no has had to rely on their passing game because of their ease running the ball. Sounds like it could be a good ball game. I am going to say SC wins in a nail bitter 3-2. Just kidding, SC 56 to probably around 35 or 40 depending on how good the Cookeville offense runs the ball. Come on man! If that is the case you don't lose to Maryville as bad as you guys did! Be realistic

Be realisticthat's what I was thinking.... Maybe I should change my name so he can have it. I doubt there are many college teams that have 10-15 guys that run 4.5s or better. gobears89
http://www.themountainpress.com/sports/highschool/x533459318/Speed-records-fall-at-Bears-combine This article says 15 players under 4.7 with a 4.38,4.45,4.4 the bears are fast enough to beat maryville just not man enough too small up front and at line backer. Maryville will smoke everybody they are just on a different level. SC is probably in the top 5 in the state behind oakland maryville and whatever memphis has got. This is a good bears squad and will be better next year and the year after that. Only a handful of seniors on this team GoBears!!!
