Big Games in Memphis - Playoffs, Round 2 Games

southwind is going to get destroyed in their game tonight...

 

and didnt trezevant lose to southaven???  im not saying liberty is going to blow them out...just sayin were going to handle them just fine...it doesnt look like they have much of a kicking game either...

 

they definitely have been shutting down teams...and they shutout haywood...but haywood almost tripled those yards per game numbers didnt they...were a good bit better than the tomcats...i did hear haywoods coach claim that we didnt have a chance...thats very interesting after the beating we gave them...but hey...some times fellas forget the past once it gets repeated

 

this game is a as close as they come no doubt

 

as for huntingdon...they play ball control...all they do is run the ball and theyre very successful with it...they will keep mitchells scoring threats off the field for extended periods of time and limit the tiger possessions

 

I meant to say Liberty earlier in that post ... not Huntingdon.

 

As far as the Southwind getting destroyed thing. I picked Central ... but I wouldn't be surprised if Southwind pulled it out.. Anytime you have Jimmy Keys on your team ... anything can happen. The past two weeks he's ran back a fumble for a TD, ran back a KO for a TD and has had 4 INT's of which I think he has ran at least two of those back for a TD.

 

Speed kills and he has an overabundance of it.

On another note. What would you think if you looked at boxscores from a game and saw where the losing team almost doubled their opponents in first downs made and actually doubled them in total yardage?

I would think that there were either too many untimely turnovers committed OR that there was a lot of "Hidden Yardage" procured by the team with less yards. You know that whole winning the field position battle and limiting penalties thing. SMH... I hear we got down 21-0 k-dub!

It has to be the Henry County-Memphis East game he is referring to. But there wasn't much hidden yardage, as both teams had 4 penalties called against them on the night. Situational turnovers were definitely a big part, as one of HC's scores was an interception return for a TD.
