Mud bath is the term that comes to mind. 

 

I know that they have been and will work as hard as possible to get the field in the best shape possible, but at this time of year it is going to be rough.

Field is likely going to be pretty sloppy. It sits in a natural floodplain and does not drain well. We over seeded with rye twice in the last month and there is evidence of new grass through the dormant turf but the soil underneath is going to be saturated with water. I expect it to be pretty sloppy conditions by the the 2nd quarter.

Quick 18 minute drive up to CPA. All the red lights were kind to me. The U of E was lit up for their big rematch with BA. The Lion's Den is a mud pit! This one is going to be SLOPPY to say the least!
