How many people out there think the Cleveland Blue Raiders has what it takes to #1 in the state? I know I think that they can do it. But how about when the juniors an seriors are gone do you think they will steal be good. Were do u think Bradley Central and Walker Valley will be?

You are talking about a sophmore class that is having a pretty good year this year. There is 6 or 7 sophmores starting this year alone with 2 more coming of the bench and getting playing time even in close games. The freshman class has 3 or 4 people that could start or play alot next year. The sophmore class had to grow up real quick with on the job training.

cleveland will compete next year for state with a senior class of great backs and and a couple of great lineman, the juniors will be leading the linebackers and some linemen, and the sophomores are going to be one of the best ever at cleveland and contribute right away. this year cleveland will fight ultimatly for return to state wide respectability as they lost a lot of it last yr, (52-14), and the years before, though i believe they will get it, but i wouldnt say they will get past maryville, if they make it that far they will play them much closer than that. cleveland is finally playing their best football heading into the playoffs, barber being healthy, jay davis is underated and the addition of tim cooper, the offensive line geling, should make for some playoff success and a lot of potential for next season. walker valley will be lucky to be any better next yr, but should win atleast 2 more than this yr, and bradley will have a strong sophomore class, but not enough to compete for the playoffs, they might try for .500

Isn't former Vol Aaron Green the basketball coach at Cleveland??

Cleveland has visitor bleachers..and one of the nicest stadiums in the area in my opinion. Wasn't the last time Carter was in the playoffs 1993? I remember them coming to Cleveland that year in the 2nd round.

We last qualified for 4A playoffs in 1993.

 

We beat Elizabethon 22-7 (I think), then lost to Cleveland 45-15 (i think). Since then we were in 3A and made the playoffs in 1999 & 2000. So our seniors are in the playoffs for the 3rd time out of 4 years.

Directions to Cleveland High School from Knoxville.

Take 1-75 South to exit 27. Turn left on Paul Huff PKWY (under the interstate) and go to the first red light (Peerless Road) and take a right. Go about 1.5 miles to the next red light (Raider Drive). Take a left and the field is on the left. The lights will be on a 6 PM. You need to park in the lower parking lots because the upper parking lot is reserved parking, home football team and where the visiting band parks. There are 2 entrances into Raider field. The top entrance is on the visitor
