Did Skogen commit to Mercer?

I have heard that Jake Skogen from Tennessee Temple (last year's state tourney MVP from class A) has committed to Mercer. Can anyone confirm this?

Interesting choice if he did. He is a very good player. Anyone know who else he was considering?

I just read the paper, (Wednesday, 11-06) and it says that he has made a committment to Mercer. He had it down to Air Force, Harvard, Presbyterian and Mercer, but chose Mercer due to his liking the coaches, academic reasons and religious convictions about not playing on Sunday.

what a coo for the coaching staff at mercer. i have known jake since he was a little boy and he is a great person as well as a player. i really believe he could have played at a higher collegiate level, but he has his head on straight and knows exactly what he wants to do. good luck jake!
