Xpartan
Hasn't Melton missed the majority of the year with an injury? Both are great players along with teammate Micah Scheetz who was mentioned earlier. Katy Collier also deserves a nod. You could really vote for any of the Webb girls. They are each role players who contribute to their TEAM success. That being said, in my opinion Miss Basketball should be reserved for upperclassmen who have earned their way and proven themselves throughout their high school careers. DII is the only division where underclassman names are being tossed around simply because the numbers and the competition just arent there. Im not for individual awards in team sports - it sometimes encourages selfishness and playing for individual glory. If you're voting simply on stats then just grab the stat sheet and pick the leading scorer. If you're looking for the most well - rounded team player and Senior leader, in my opinion Madison Davis - who has started in 3 State Championship games in 3 years and going for her 4th - is your best choice.
