oldster
Do we know anything yet, for sure, about this coming weekend, February 7 & 8? Will there, in fact, be tournaments for both Divisions, one for each region? Where will they occur? How will they be seeded? How many places will qualify for the state meets? How will the state meets be seeded? Only by places in the regional meets? Some other way? The geographical imbalance of Division 2 is remarkable. How will D2 regional results be applied to qualifying and seeding for the D2 state meet? What else would be interesting to know? Am I correct in thinking that this is a big, big deal and that coaches need to know all of this by tomorrow? Do we already know all of this? Have I just missed it? oldster
StarRaider, do you know whether (and when) the brackets will be announced to the public? Will the TSSAA do that? The host schools? Do the coaches in each region do the seeding? Thanks!
Jeffcobth
They set the brackets today
StarRaider
No sir, I do not know when additional info will be available, but all of the region tournaments appear to be on trackwrestling dot com. That website will be a good way to follow the seeding and then the results this weekend. Go to "current season" "high school" then pick Tennessee and you should be able to figure it out from the list of tournaments that comes up (posting this in case you have not used the trackwrestling website, it is not too bad once you get used to it). My understanding is the coaches in each region will have a seeding meeting this week and set the region brackets. Each region chooses seeding criteria as the region coaches see fit... so seeding criteria varies.
