once WV touched it, it became a live ball. I seen the WV player #4 jump up to get the ball and them the next thing I know a bradley player was taking off down the field. That play totally changed the game.

 

The rule states if the ball doesn't pass the line of scrimmage then either team can advance it. I couldn't tell where the ball was from where I was. The pile was close to.the line of scrimmage and the ball looked to be even or past the pile. Tough call for those Refs to make I guess

despite the score, WV dominated. Should have been 21-0 when WV blocked that punt.

So does soddy and WV finally get credit this week or are we going to say they got lucky. The district isnt as good as it was last year. I think you will see them contend with teams for the rest of the year. What chance do you give both making the playoff?

I will give them credit for their wins. Big wins for both teams. And at this point besides Ooltewah they are the only 2 teams I see having a chance to make the playoffs. But I will say this anyone that has watched this district the last few years will have to agree that this is the worst it has been as a whole in a while. I mean the team that is undefeated and killing everyone in the district barely beat a middle Tennessee team that is defeated and getting destroyed by everyone in their district. Not taking anything away from Soddys or WVs wins but I have seen some very ugly football so far this year.

I agree even the teams that win are making mistakes keeping the other teams close enough where one play can still beat them. Cleveland had what 300 yds rushing against Soddy or 400? Turnover the ball 6 times. Thats a Loss. Not taking anything from Soddy they still had to score and probably forced at least some of those turnovers. But you rush for that many yds that should be a win. I haven't seen the Owls yet hope they can do something.

Men, the Owls are the real deal! I was thinking DB would beat them. Not so fast! Their D is lights out. They are also very smart and they play as a group. The O is getting better every week. This could be a very special year for the Owls. For my Canes, IDK played a great schedule, but not seeing any improvement at all........ Got a week off, really need to win out, but not to sure that will happen. Make no mistake Canes did not lose to Owls! The Owls beat the Canes. Hats off to the Goose he called it, I will give props when they do.

IMO I think Walker Valley should beat every other team on their schedule except for the owls. I'm glad they finally got that win over Bradley. Its a huge confidence booster for the program which I think is on the rise.
