Sparks99
Copied from the AHSAA rulebook: SECTION 2. SUNDAY PLAY. No interscholastic contest may be scheduled on Sunday without prior approval of the Central Board of Control. This includes summer play. The coach called our principal & superintendent when it became apparent play would go into Sunday, and could not get approval. To suggest a team would leave school 4 hrs early Friday, drive 2 hours, play 2 games, get up Sat morning and play all day, THEN decide not to play in the ship because they were scared? Please. They are the defending 2 time 6A state champions, have 6 starting seniors all going on to play college ball, and are consistently ranked in the top 50 nationally.
watchinmysoftballgirl
whatever dude. I will put my team up against your team any day any time. I also watched a little bit a of one of your games. Not impressed. You had a weak bracket and pretty much slid through the tournament. Gibbs would have wiped you off of the field. awaIker
Gibbs had a very good tournament. We have had two very good games against Sparkman in the past at the Bob Jones tournament and I'm sure this game would have been no different. I can say that the coaches and players do not feel that Sparkman was scared of Gibbs in any way. Especially since they just beat a team 6-0 that we beat 1-0 and struck out 14 of our 15 outs.
