CW and Stewart Co. will finally get to play today. V double header at Creek Wood starting at 4:30pm.

CW took two last night from Stewart Co.

It looks like the district tournament is set for 11-AA.  Since they went to 2 divisions, North & South, they split the district tournment with the winner of each division hosting a double elimination tourney & then the 2 winners playing a single championship game.  Creek Wood will host as the winner of the North and Lewis Co. will host as the South winner.  Looks like this

S2 Hickman Co. vs. N3 Montgomery Central

The tourney could be interesting. Having seen all the teams in both sides except Waverly and Stewart I think the potential for upset is very alive. Creek Wood has a very good team sweeping Lewis County in the regular season 6-4 and 6-5. Both games was a last inning rally by CW. Hickman Co. can be dangerous if they can put together a complete game. After seeing Camden early in the season I was impressed and thought they would win a few more games then they have. And after seeing FV late in the season I wonder the same thing. They have several good players, but seem to lack discipline. Montgomery Central has the potential to pull the upset much like Hickman if they too can put together a complete game. East may have chipped it in for the rest of regular season, but might come alive during the playoffs. Good luck to all the rest of the way!!

I believe it will go like this:

 

AT Lewis County- (2) Waverly vs. (3) Fairview

                             (1) Lewis County vs. winner of (4) Camden/(5) Stewart County

 

AT Creekwood- (2) Hickman County vs. (3) Montgomery Central

                          (1) Creekwood vs. (4) East Hickman

 

I think this starts Thursday, May 1st.
