moving to Johnson City area

Next school year I will be moving with my family to the Johnson City area; my daughter plays travel softball and were hoping to move to an area that has a strong high school softball program. What do you feel are the better programs in that area, within an hour or so from Johnson City?

Daniel Boone High School always has a very good softball team.

Daniel Boone, Unicoi county, science hill are perennial strong programs.

Yeah, Daniel Boone is a good as is Science Hill for the bigger schools. 2 of the better schools in the middle sized division are Elizabethton and Unicoi.

I agree with other posts but Check out Greeneville High School also. Top 5 public high school in the State. Multiple state championships in various sports in past 5-8 years. The softball coach is a true softball coach -- his daughter pitches and plays travel ball on a team out of Chattanooga that won a national championship 2 or 3 years ago.

University High, on the campus of ETSU,  is a very strong college prep school and has made it to the state tournament 3 of the last four years.
