Gal won 2 to 1 against the 1's. SC drove the field twice more and got picked on the 3 once. The next time Gal held them 4 downs on the 5. Overall good work for both teams. Lots of hard hits also. For the first scrimmage I think both teams coaches were pleased. Gal won the biggest crowd for sure.

Shelbyville won the practice and played well. Franklin County beat Giles in their practice game friday also.

Shelbyville has some athletes and should do very well in their district. Maybe these two can meet again in the playoffs. Hardy is a class act in my book.

Class act and has done a heckuva job. He inherited a tire fire of a program at Shelbyville

Yes, great crowd from Gallatin .

 

Same for coach Williams and his staff. Always good work and atmosphere when SC and Gallatin lock up.

dixieboy, The Franklin Co. score over Giles is a little misleading. The teams played 4 12min quarters running clock. With 10 min left in the 4th Giles was up 21-7 and should have been up 28-7 but fumbled on the 6-inch line going in on their opening drive. The Bobcats then pulled all their 1s and 2s at the 10 min mark of the 4th to allow their young ones to get some reps while the Rebels left their 1s and 2s in. The rebels got 2 TDs off bad snaps as the So. jv center for the Bobcats struggled snapping 4 of the first 6 snaps over the QBs head. so the Rebels got the points and ended up winning 27-21. scoring 3 TDs in the final 10 mins. Franklin CO. is improved for sure and will make some noise in their district for sure. I know the both Coaches were probably pleased overall with the first scrimmage of the year.
