After the last of the Rice boys graduates WC will drop off a bit. I wouldnt be surprised to see coach Rice leave. If that happens WC will have some down years.

It's a fact coach Rice will leave one day so do you think the whole football program will leave too? Coach statom was a great coach when he was winning, but lose a few talented players and have a bad year and all of a sudden he is the wrong man for the job! I hope it's not like that over here but you never know! As for WC's near future, it looks bright in my opinion!  I think in 1A schools good coaches or a few of really good players makes a great difference and Cwood has had some really good players as well as WC! I understand that Cwood is young, especially at the skilled positions and that's where WC has some very talented young players that are getting lots of experience this year that will make them even better the next few years! Thank you for making my point.

Not what everyone expects.

And I know football as well as any on this thread. You sure get offended when posters don't bow to the Cats. I have no doubts that Collinwood can play with Waynesboro.

I didn't get offended by anybody, and I never expect anyone to bow to anybody it's a free world to this point, but may not be one day!  Thats what I like about this website you can speak freely about your opinions " and everybody knows what they say about opinions" and nobody should take offense just respect their opinion and agree to disagree if that's the case and do it without all the drama! After this week I wish Cwood all the luck in the world!  "GO CATS"

I'll make my prediction in the coming days but the Trojans are going to have a hard time stopping the run of the Wildcats. The Trojans gave up about 500 yards of rushing to Wilson (AL.) and yes i know they are pretty good, but Lewis County had over 300 as well. The Offense of the Trojans look like they may be able to keep up, Waynesboro has given up 20 and 38 points respectively but Parsons and Centerville are pretty good. This game may be closer than the experts think. Like ol' Roy Dillard, You Think i'm jokin, but i ain't.

My prediction is it will be as close as coach Rice lets it be.

Cwood better be ready for some down hill, smash mouth, power football, along with  down field pass threats at any time!  Our offense is clicking, just have to take better care of the ball in the red zone! Hopefully  Our Defense will be much improved if our injured players are back, and that adds depth from the players with lots of playing time the last two weeks! "GO CATS"

Yeah yeah yeah...same story every year. A whole bunch of numbers. Too bad only one player can run it at a time. This Collinwood bunch will hit you in the mouth. Left right or up the middle. Collinwood isnt afraid of Waynesboro no matter how many running backs you have. They will be ready. All the boasting and confidence in the world can win this game for the. Yall should have learned that by now.

Im not bashing on Cwood, but I just don't see this game being close. WC has seen some good defenses so far from the first scrimmage until now. Waverly twice, Riverside, Nashville Christian, Davidson Acad and Hickman Co. Nobody has slowed this offense down yet and I don't think Cwood has the team to do what those couldn't. And on top of that it looks like WC will have two of the injured boys back and possibly all three. Once again, not bashing, just comparing. Edited by wildcat89

    • I just saw on 5 Star Preps that Chaston Smith is transferring to Chattanooga McCallie. McCallie and Baylor are loading up. Baylor got UT commit Joakim Dodson and Former Alcoa player Kolby Barrett. They also got a bunch of other transfers.
    • Does anyone know of another spring scrimmage or are we done?
    • The lamentable departure of the esteemed coach, orchestrated by certain board members whose intellectual acumen leaves much to be desired, is a matter of grave concern. It is worth noting that these individuals, paradoxically invested in overseeing the educational welfare of others while opting for homeschooling for their own progeny, have effectively precipitated this regrettable outcome. One can only surmise that the repercussions of their actions will reverberate for an extended period, casting a pall over their respective tenures. Such consequences are indeed a cross they shall bear.
    • In my humble assertion, I find it imperative to clarify that my personage was not among those counted. Regrettably, the departure of Coach Blake Satterfield did not augur well for the program's trajectory. It is with a tempered sense of admiration that I regard the individual of fortitude who dares to embrace this challenging mantle, for they shall undoubtedly encounter formidable obstacles in their quest to satisfy the less discerning denizens of Hartsville. May the fates smile upon Blake Satterfield in his forthcoming endeavors.
    • Do you reckon this action demonstrates sound judgment? Whom do you propose as the most fitting candidate to assume the esteemed position of assistant principal at the middle school?
