I have researched this some more, I saw the Owls scrimmage Ringgold, and watched some tape on them. Guys this will be a barn burner. The Canes can win this football game. They will need to take care of the ball and not turn it over; we also must not get burnt deep. If we can do those things we have a good shot at this. Now the Owls have a great team and on paper should win this. But as they say you don’t play it on paper.

 

Here are some reasons why I think this is a great ball game.

CHATTAOWLS WISH LIST

  1. It’s a rival game.
  2. It’s a district game.
  3. It’s at East Ham.
  4. Owls have played a 3A, 4A, 5A, and 6A schools.
  5. East Ham has played 3 6A schools and a 4A school.
  6. The schools the Owls have played have a combined record of 2-12.
  7. The schools the Canes have played have a combined record of 13-3.

 

 

Canes 27- Owls 24. Little brother wins 2nd in a row.  

 

That's not a wish that is facts...........

WELL THE DIFFERENCE THIS SEASON IS THAT THE TEAMS YOU HAVE PLAYED THAT ARE SUPPOSEDLY GOOD YOU DIDN'T WIN... JUST LIKE RIVERDALE WAS DOWN LAST YEAR, siegel IS DOWN THIS YEAR....AND WE BOTH BEAT DOBBYNS BENNET LAST SEASON AND I DONT CONSIDER SIGNAL A POWERHOUSE IN THAT CUPCAKE DISTRICT THEY ARE.....AND TYNER GOES TO THE PLAYOFFS EVERY YEAR......SO YOUR POINT IS IRREVELENT.....AND IF YOU LOSE ON FRIDAY NIGHT...THEY WILL STILL SAY WE ARE  PLAYING ANOTHER CUPCAKE...BECAUSE YOUR RECORD IS COMPARABLE TO ALL THE OTHER CUPCAKES WE HAVE PLAYED.....EVERY TEAM HAS A CUPCAKE OR 3 ON THE SCHEDULE..THAT'S WHY YOU HAVE THE PLAYOFFS TO ELIMINATE THE WEAKLINGS.....WE STILL GOT ANOTHER SHOT AT KNOCKING EACH OTHER OUT...PLAYOFFS!!

PA, don't get mad!

Had to pick somebody, can't pick both, and can't predict a tie.

Selfishly, I'm ready for the Owls to suffer a district loss.  My pick was more wishful thinking than expectation...but I still believe this will be more competitive than many want to believe, for all the reasons stated.

OK, I will help you out here. My thing was that you cannot say the Owls will beat the Canes 35-0 or 35-7 like the Goose said. I stated my reason's why cause I think the Canes are better then Tyner and Brainerd. Thus I think this will be a pretty darn good game. Nobody I mean nobody thinks the Owls are not good because who they have played. You are one of the best teams in the state. I think and so do a lot of folks think you got 3 games on your schedule that your not going to steam roll, Canes, Raiders, and Kingsport DB. I think you can beat all three and go 10-0. What I was saying just because you beat the snot out of Tyner, Brainerd and Soddy and got a key win on the road at Siegel dose not mean you are going to walk all over the Canes, Raiders or DB. I stated my reasons why, that's all. I TOLD YOU BEFORE THE DARN THING STARTED THAT THE CANES WOULD BE 1-3 GOING INTO THE OOLTEWAH GAME. You called me a sandbagger............ ESPN guys said that Ohio State would have issues with Va. Tech, why cause they an't Kent State, or Western Mich............. Same here........

I HAVE NEVER SAID WE WOULD STEAMROLL OVER THE CANES OR THEM BACKSTABBING RAIDERZ....IT'S THE PEOPLE AT YOUR SCHOOL THAT THINK YOU ARE DOWN..BUT I TELL THEM THAT DON'T MATTER..THIS IS A FIERCE RIVAL...

BUT THEM  BLUERAIDERS....CAN'T WAIT!!! I SOLD THEIR SEATS ON THE OWL BANDWAGON....THEY DON'T DESERVE ONE.....

As you can see PA I am still on here the rest of my Canes are no where to be found......... You see PA most I said most of the folks at Cane Hill are spoiled, our team has not done so well so they tend to get bent out of shape. When we start winning again they will come roaring back you wait and see. Lot of folks want to blame the coach, you see it's a thing called talent and experience, now we have talent but the experience is lacking we have played teams that have exposed that weakness....... But I feel it will come around. The Raiders are a class bunch they are just busting your chops........ We all know who has got it going on right now. Canes and Raiders are still finding there way. Just remember when your on top everyones gunning for ya, just enjoy the view. As for the steam roll thing dude I was directing that at Goose he said 35-0, 35-7........... The folks at Cane Hill are very troubled about a possible butt whipping coming Friday night "Oh God not the Owls" I have no issue getting beat by the Owls nor the Raiders. Now I want to win more then anybody but sometimes some teams are just better then you.........

WE ARE NOT POSSUM'S SO STOP THE POSSUM POSE!

Possums are known for their ability to play dead. When this happens, the possum body wilts, it's tongue flops out, and its heart rate declines. After about 15 minutes (or the next game) revives. Possum's don't play dead on purpose it is involuntary when they become overwhemed and anxious......... Get a hold on yourself! It's a kids game have fun with it!

      OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.

      They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.

      The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.

      I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
