I'm very excited to announce the creation of the Nashville Regional Training Center. The Nashville Regional Training Center (NRTC) is an alliance of wrestling clubs in middle TN that will work together to provide training opportunities for the youth in our area. This will help our region to continue making huge gains in our wrestling proficiency. Most of the training opportunities will take place on Sunday afternoons to promote maximum participation. The practices will be tailored for a specific wrestling ability group with most designed for intermediate-advanced level kids. NRTC practices will be similar to the Wrestlefests that have happened in the past but these are region specific.

The NRTC will be rotational so that one single club will not enjoy the location advantage. These practices will also be totally free so the emphasis will be on training and not using the event as a fundraiser.

The plan is to hold these practices every 2-3 weeks and continue year round. They are currently designed for youth-middle school aged kids but we will have the option of adding high schoolers for some future events. All wrestlers must have a 2014-2015 AAU card to participate but we will change over to the USA card during freestyle/Greco season.

This is our current schedule but we want to continue adding additional locations.

October 12th- Clarksville High

November 2nd- Summit High

November 16th- Beech High

November 23rd- Wilson Central High

  • 3 weeks later...

Just a reminder that the Nashville Regional Training Center (NRTC) practices begin this Sunday the 12th of October. The first one takes place at the Clarksville High School Wrestling Facility. This is a unique concept in that we rotate our practices from club to club at locations around the Nashville area. Everyone who attends benefits from the training but we all share the hardship of a little bit of travel. No one single club will always have the location advantage.
