In 1985 Bill Satterfield took over the Greenback football team who had been previously coached by Keith "Bear" Bailey (one of the finest men i have ever had the priviledge to know) and took the Cherokees to another level.Prior to 1985 GB had never been to the playoffs.Satterfield led us there his first yr and three yrs later ranked #1 for 15 straight weeeks went 15-0 and brought home the gold!GB has only missed the playoffs 8 times in the past 30 yrs.
