They are really young.  If I'm correct only Teeter and Anderson played a lot last year. No matter how talented you are, playing against older kids is a learning curve.  Last year Catholic played all those freshmen and went 9-20, this year 17-6. Grant it Catholic isn't as athletic as Alcoa but they have some good players and that experience factor under their belt.  Next year Alcoa should be be really good and they can still make some noise in the district/regional tournament .  Alcoa, Catholic and CAK are primed to have some classic battles the next two years

Who knows?! I have heard that we are and heard that we will stay or even that we will go to all private......I don't think anyone knows for sure.

Ok, was just curious. I thought I heard at one time they were able to move down to AA as an exception during this cycle then had to move back up... I could totally be making that up though.

I was told that they will remain in AA unless there is a split with the privates and public schools.

I agree completely. Alcoa should have a much better record than what we do. We have a lot of varsity players on the JV squad, which is still undefeated. Yes, we're young, but we should definitely have more than 9 wins.
