Anderson County vs. Greenville

Too much of a point spread on this one in favor of Greenville. Young Mavs would have to give 110% to win this. Hope Mavs bring home a first game victory.

AC is young, but is normally very well coached and hard nosed.  Greenville Is normally a very good football team and has a very good line.  I think AC will find creative ways to move the ball and will score a few TD's but will not be able to Capitalize on all their drives but may hit 2 FG's with a veteran kicker.  In the end Greenville will use its big line to control the front and the Mavs will come up short in a hard faught game..I hope I am wrong, but I think Greenville takes this one in the end:

Greenville: 21

Yes they are well coached and will hit you in the mouth for sure.  That's what I'm hoping will carry us through this what I hope will be a successful year.

The steve spurrier in me would say " that would be a great outcome" but the logical, more level headed and less smart azz me says " no way, no how and i hope NOT"...Although that score would probably be a big boost to the young Devils confidence, I think it might actually give them TOOOOOO much confidence......nice thought though

The Fox and family will be there to support our Mavericks. I know nothing about the team this year or what to expect. I know we lost many great players last year but Davey always finds a way to coach them up.

Have a safe trip and enjoy our little slice of GREENE DEVIL heaven up here. If you get here early enough, and your taste buds are craving something sweet, i suggest a shake from the " Little Top " restaurant. it's right around the corner from the stadium and anyone in town SHOULD be able to tell you how to find it. If you are the super fan type that likes to get here super early in the day, the " BEAN BARN " is a must. Great foot, even better folks and an atmosphere that will take you back to a day when things were a whole lot simpler and less rushed......There, that's my unpaid advertisements for today...LOL...enjoy the trip and dont be too terribly uspset if your Mavs dont fare as well as you guys do.

I can't believe you would think there is a single smart azz bone in Coach Spurrier's body. B)Yep,I know,there isn't just one because he has always been a total smart azz ! A great coach in his day however.I'll never forget his Duke team coming to Knoxville .
