Week 2: Elizabethton (0-0) @ Science Hill (0-0)

First game for both teams. How goes it?

 

I feel we will play them hard but not hard enough. Science Hill by 3 TDs. They will probably score most of their stuff in the first half and then we will outscore them in the 2nd half but it will be too little too late.

Elizabethton always plays SH tough and the game's are usually close contests, except for last year. The cyclones haven't beaten SH since 2009, and I don't see that changing this year.

Yes Caleb Jones is out but we do still have a couple more RB.SH wins this one but Betsy will play hard but just not good enough to beat the Hill.

I like your guess but just don't think it will happen but that's why you play the game.

SH is a much better team on the defensive side of the ball this year. The group of linebackers are very good. If everyone in the defensive backfield can stay healthy it will be hard to throw.

 

On offense SH will throw the ball more frequently than last year as the QB has a rocket for an arm. The addition of the transfer RB will only be great if the O line gets better on run blocking than they have shown in preseason scrimmages. The receivers are basically the same group as last year plus the addition of Jaylen Adams. All of them can fly.

 

If everyone stays healthy this years team should be just as talented as last year on offense but will get it down in the air and on defense they are stronger.

Yeah, the pass D has always been our Kryptonite. We have a good core of RBs so it will be a fight but Science Hill is just too deep. EHS football numbers are down this year it seems

I will go with SH by 14. I think EHS is down this year because they lost a lot from last year and lost a very key player this year. The only other game EHS could lose will be TN High which says something about their conference.

Hard to replace a athlete like he was and I'm sure SH is talented but I have to agree with hincke on this one.
