I believe this to be our hardest regular season game. They dropped from 5 a to 4 a this year and they have a dynamic duo in Gobbell and Godwin. I believe this week in practice we will get the kinks out and have a better showing. It will definitely be a battle on the river

We came out flat against Chester, but turned it around in the second half.  I don't think we will see the same mistakes against the River Rats.  The offense has to get better with execution.  We have two QB's that are trying to adjust and I think they will be fine with more reps.  Hardin Co. will have the best athlete we will see all year.  He has next level speed and is a flat our stud.  I think the team really came together in the second half of Chester.  Win or lose, I hope we come out of the game with no injuries.

Yeah, we left the St George's game at halftime and flew the helicopter down to Lawton. UTVol came and picked us up at half and got us back in time for second half of Chester game. I understand we didn't miss much in the first half. I told UTVol to slow down or he was going to get my vest wrinkled going around those curves!

The horse wasn't pulling the wagon that fast and you know it! Would have gotten there sooner if we didn't have to stop and let you poop!!

This is a very tough game to call. I think it's going to be very, very close. I'm just not sure about Avilles QB situation but I also know HC lost a lot to graduation. I think Linam may be the difference. I'm going with Aville 24-21.

I think it's interesting how Linam has become a great little kicker. I remember when he was a freshman he could barely get the extra points over the crossbar and now he's booting 40 yarders! That's a result of hard work and congrats to him.

    • Gleason all over west Carroll in scrimmage. Gleason is big and fast
    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
