The Tigers will be a big test for the young Wildcats, trying to avoid their second straight 0-3 start. Last year in game three they looked like a different team, taking Shelbyville to the wire. Can the Wildcats stage another turnaround?

Marshall County appears to have the edge in every facet of the game, excect perhaps on the sidelines. On the other hand, you can't out-coach speed and that is one area the Wildcats are short on.

Tullahoma's pass defense has not been tested in the first two weeks but it certainly will be Friday night. The Tigers like to throw the ball down the field and the 'Cats will struggle to stop that. Tullahoma needs its rushing game to control the clock with long drives, much like they did last week before self destructing in the fourth quarter.

Listen Friday on the Ticket - 105.1 FM, AM 740, theticketradio.com, the Tune In Radio app, or in Tullahoma on LightTUBe channel 11.

Marshall fighting kittens win this week because Tullahoma is not very good. As for that Marshall Defense, they gave up 42 to a team that Stewarts Creek held to 8 points the week before and would have been most likely shut out if the offense hadn't turned it over inside its own 30 late in the 4th. As for Walt picking up stuff he caught on quick enough to beat the kittens at their place in the first round of the playoffs last year. Just saying!!

Alot can happen in a years time dawg. Its a whole different deal this year. 34-19 is nothing to feel good about from last week. Shelbyville is a very talented team that most think were overlooking Giles. I think your match against Lawrence is going to be tougher than you all think. We will see what those kittens bring to the mighty Brickyard in Sept. I hope you are ready. Good Luck! B)

And then took em up to mighty White House for their dominating performance.... Just saying! I love how everyone is living in the past and brings up that game to overshadow this season, if you want to dig in the past here is some facts for you, GC hasn't been 0-2 since 2005, last season was first under .500 record since G.W. Bush was in office, after a state championship appearance with a college QB and SEC signee skill player. The moral victories are nice and friendly thou.

This is a Marshall co vs Tullahoma thread so back to the game that all the armchair QBs are picking for MC to win big because Tullahoma is down, I think it's closer than those experts say, MC 48-14

Goodoleboy you never answered my question in the other thread or this one? You seem to bring Walt up in every thread or conversation... Why? You got a man crush or as I asked earlier he steal your girlfriend or beat you up in high school? You seem to have an ax to grind with the man. Worry about your Tigers and them finding a defense that can stop somebody or it is another early playoff exit. As for Walt he is in his 3rd year at Giles, has been to the state finals and 2nd round of playoffs. Has an overall record of 17-10. Is 5-2 in playoff games at GC. So ya he has really struggled. People seem to forget that last years team dealt with the loss of a very good player/person in a tragic car accident. Had a huge toll on the team in my opinion. This year the team is extremely in experienced and is not as talented overall as previous GC teams. They are playing hard and getting better. But I guess that 7-4 season last year and 1st round playoff loss as this years awesome 1-1 start got the Marshall Co. Faithful excited. So good luck.

    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
    • They struggled to field a team last year. I don’t see them being much better?
    • sx good two know thay didun't waint that entarr citty two see yeller/red......
    • Couldn’t agree more.. Tate is a special kinda player , but fortunately for us we get a best of 3 series. I think our pitching is better than last year when we made the trip to west tn. Should be a fun 2 or 3 games.
