Bearden @ Hardin Valley

Bearden 2-0 over understandably weak teams vs. 0-1 Hardin Valley with a loss to a pretty good team.  1st region matchup for both teams.  Maybe this game will be relevant enough to have some posts on.

This should be a good game.  Bearden seems to have improved over last year.  HVA has a very strong defense but lost their QB to injury.  West had a hard time with HVA's defense.  HVA is a much bettter team than most people realize.  Bearden with have to watch the turnovers and move the ball against that tough defense to win.  Being a Bearden alum, I have to pull for the bulldogs but HVA may win this one.  I'm thinking HVA wins 21 - 14.

I believe Hardin Valley wins this one, despite their QB loss. I also heard Joe DeFur, Hardin Valley's star TE/LB, is also out. Is this true?

The word is that they lost a couple of their big ball players for the season at a scrimmage.  Hate to hear it for the kids.  One obviously the QB, but not sure who the other player was.  HVA is still athletic as all get out though.  Bearden is a changed team it seems.  We'll see just how changed this week.

Bearden has greatly improved and HV still has a stout D.  Frizzell for HV will be the best player on the field.  The twins aren't too shabby either.  HV wins this one 21-10.

Hardin Valley wins 21-17 with them coming off a bye week I like for their offense to click a little more than in that first game against West. Also Im pretty sure they corrected all penalty mistakes.
