  1. OMG, he uses that stupid "we've found the beef" line in every other broadcast. Not funny, nor creative. I couldn't. Believe my ears when I heard him broadcasting the game. He's awful!! I had to turn the game off. I couldn't take him. To those that believe he's doing such a good public service broadcasting local Knoxville area HS football games, give us a break. He's making mint doing it. If he wasn't doing it, trust me, somebody else would, and it's not a stretch to believe they'd be putting a much better product out there each week.
  2. Indeed, what a tremendous year/comeback for Courtney and the Admirals. #1 had a tremendous game, however, I still contend the QB, #19 was also a silent hero of the game. A stud all year long. Deserves some D1 offers.
  3. I like Farragut in this one. Adam Fulton may be the most underrated QB in the state.
  4. If Catholic held their own without the services of those two individuals, they just may be unstoppable this year. 2013 and 2014 Fulton good. What specifically did you see that needed work on Catholic's end?
  5. I was referring to the Scott Co. game back in '11, not any Fulton game. I just don't understand the intent of a few home fans sitting on the visitor's side. Sorry if I'm a throwback, but it seems to set the tone (purposefully IMO) for a hostile environment, it is aggressive, and is quite classless. There is a reason there is a home side, and a visitor's side. These "going against the grain" fans are either gloating in victory, or trying to stir up the opposition in defeat, or near defeat, for each home game. Again, the former being the dominant response. The Greeneville fan base needs to to step up and dissuade this practice in the name of sportsmanship in my very humble opinion, and let the fans sit where it is intended.
  6. The Greeneville fans that sit on the vistor's side are just fine 90% of the time. Reason is, they win 90% of the time. To TadVols point, things tend to get hairy, and can even escalate to insults and threats, when things are not going their way. I think the Catholic fans could see some ugliness Friday night, as I see Catholic winning by a couple of touchdowns.
  7. It comes down to if Carter's Austin Howard plays or not. If he plays, and the ankle injury doesn't impact his play too much, Carter wins. If not, AC wins.
  8. Congrats to the Irish. I didn't expect their D to shut down the Mavs like they did.
  9. It's amazing the difference a year makes. A year ago, this game was highly anticipated, and the Coach T thread around it was buzzing. This year, crickets. I predict a hard fought AC victory, in part due to the weather.
  10. Farragut exposes Bearden as the mediocre team they really are. 45-7 Admirals.
  11. Whew, CAK by 35 seems a little aggressive to me, but I could be wrong. CAK big nonetheless. Too many weapons against the very young Webb team this year. They do take a bus over, BTW.
  12. Perfect game for Bradley to suspend him, because it will not impact the outcome at all. CAK big.
  13. I believe Hardin Valley wins this one, despite their QB loss. I also heard Joe DeFur, Hardin Valley's star TE/LB, is also out. Is this true?
  14. I'm not surprised that the Defensive lineman transferee was a "non factor". I watched him play in person a couple of times last year, as well as a couple times on TV, and I never saw what all the hype was about. He generated more than his fair share of personal foul/unsportsmanlike penalties, seemed to always "get hurt" when the going got tough, and was man-handled by the better teams. Good luck to both teams the rest of the season.
  15. West has fallen off even more significantly than I expected. They don't belong in the top 10 5A, much less, #1. I see Sevier taking this one handily.
