Thats what im hearing. Talked to a couple of other parents at practice yesterday that have seen film on TP. They seem to think we will pull away in the 2nd half. Kinda has be a little worried. Tellico is much better than their record shows. Just hope our kids arent looking past this one. Trap game.....

I really think RW just wins. What mean is Tellico played an emotional game against GCA for Coach Mullinax and from some of the Tellico fans I have seen since said it was the best they had played up to that point.I don't think the performance will be matched again.I see RW in control from the start.JMO.Good luck to both and I would love to see the Bears pull the upset! Coach Mullinax is one of the best coaches this area has ever seen. He gets more out of his players than anyone, and his players love him.

I'm hearing various stories about his health. Does anyone know the truth?

Well he was able to coach and make one heck of a speech Friday night. He's a strong man with a community around him. Not sure on his actual medical status, but he's gonna give those kids literally every ounce he has. A rare quality man who understands that as important as winning is developing young men is more important. I think he's more like a father than a coach which is as it should be. I was impressed just standing next to him. Edited by Raven52

His powerful speech doesn't surprise me. My nephew played for him at McMinn 25 years ago and would have run through a brick wall for him. You're right in what you said about him being as concerned about developing young men for life after football. He's a rare breed and I hope he can continue coaching as long as he wants.

Sorry gang I have been out of state...But Mullinax for sure is a great coach! Can we beat Rockwood???? I will say the same thing I said last week about GCA. We need to play lights out and RW needs to help us...Not be focused, turn the ball over, or something but I know this for sure our boys will lay it all on the line for Coach expect a fight for sure....What i love about our boys is they give it there all.....ONCE AGAIN HUGE SHOUT OUT to all the GCA folks for last Friday night, prayed with us after the game and showed their support for a good man with a huge fight ahead of him....Coach Webb and the Tigers are always tough no doubt. Got some great players and we struggle up there but we will see.....

This is a bigger game for Rockwood than most people would think of from the outsiders perspective. With playoff time a week away, a good solid game and a win to build some confidence could be crucial for the Tigers. I think Jones is the difference in this one. To my knowledge Tellico does not have the speed to keep up with him on the outside. Rockwood makes a statement in the second half.

Coach Mullinax has stage 3 lung cancer. He will begin chemo next week. The doctors are expecting the chemo to be more effective then surgery. Coach is 70 and has smoked for the past 50 years and stopped "cold Turkey" 4 weeks ago. He is expected to make a recovery and coach till his mind and body say no more.

He has instilled in his players to fight till the final whistle blows....we can only encourage him to do the same!

Go TRIBE!!

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
