I'm rocking with my Crockett Boys in this one. No one gave a shot to be in Murfreesboro after we lost to Science Hill so what do we have to lose. I think Pat is gonna come out with a huge chip on his shoulder with something to prove. Dustin Day will be locked in he will play his heart out and after his huge game against OR his confidence is gonna be threw the roof. B Coleman need to have a huge game protecting the rim pulling down rebounds and driving and getting to the rim for easy points. If Peyton Ford gets hot from behind the arc there's another weapon you have to deal with. If Josh Relford is confident and is scoring that will be huge and Ian Martin is rebounding and do a little bit of everything we are good to go. We have to rebound and cut out 2nd chance points because it was killing us against OR. Patrick Good is a very special I hope he shows everyone what he can so he can get some respect state wide. Whatever the outcome I'm proud of them regardless.

Patrick Good is a nice player.  I hope he thrives at Appalachian State.  He's the better guard out of the 2 teams but if Yalen Reed for SC decides that he needs to go to the paint to get his team the win, it will be bad for Crockett.  He has out of the rough athleticism and has a soft touch.  If he stays on the perimeter then it could go either way.

I'm glad you have pride in your county. I'm guessing you want me to say since kids work hard at it that they should be given credit. Wrong..... There are places everywhere that have hard working kids that aren't good. There are only a couple of standout kids in that county for basketball. I would hate to play them in football and baseball because that is what they excel in. Don't get caught up in your wording, I'm simply speaking my opinion which I'm pretty sure is close to being proven the last few years. There have been years where teams make it to sub state and maybe state, but that doesn't mean those kids are great players. They just are better at their style than the other teams. I've won district the last 3 years in my sport and it's because we aren't as terrible as the other teams, but we are terrible. I don't know how to sweeten that up any better.

No credit needed and don't need you to sweeten it up. There been some nice players in this area before and will be in the future. Teams have made many sub-states and state tournaments but it is not a hotbed of talent for basketball. Again, just an ignorant statement made in lumping all county schools together with talent and style of play then say Station Camp is good. Well... is Walker Valley good or Bradley County better or are we comparing Shelby County. No comparison. Silly statement.

These are good specific statements. Reed needs to stay in the paint this game and not try to go for every block shot. Freeman did not play well vs Independence and must be consistent from here out. He could be the difference maker particular on Patrick Good.

For those that have not seen Patrick Good play before, you are in for a treat. The kid is a flat out playmaker. I would be willing to bet there isn't another team at the tournament that relies on one player more than Crockett does him. Station Camp is going to have to do their best to keep him in check.

Besides holding Good in check the key to stopping Crockett is slowing down the pace of the game, which Station Camp will almost certainly try to do. The Pioneers thrive on playing fast and causing the other team to turn the ball over. They don't have a lot of size. Coleman is their go-to big man and he's really not even all that big. He's tall (6'7-6'8, I believe) but skinny. He really lacks strength. I have a feeling he's going to have a really hard time against the bigs from these other teams at the state tournament. Day is Crockett's most consistent player besides Good. A lot of times teams seem to focus so much on stopping Good that they lose track of Day and that's when he goes to work. People keep mentioning Releford, Ford and Martin but those kids are not very consistent, especially offensively. Releford scores 15 one game and then goes scoreless or scores 2 or 3 for multiple games. He's just not consistent at all. Martin rarely scores more than a handful a game. He's mainly in there to try and eat up some space under the rim and for defensive purposes. Ford is a very good 3 pt specialist when he's on but like Releford, he's just not consistently a threat.

Yea I mentioned them because if they are on and able score it makes Crockett tough to deal with. They are definitely inconsistent but if they are on it gives us other scoring elements and will help stretch out SC. Hopefully we get the consistent Ford and Releford and they confident in taking some shots.

Here is where I disagree . Reed wants to be on the perimeter and shoot the 3 . Let him pull their big out and let Cody go to work down low . More solid post moves than Reed . He can protect the rim on defense .

Reed has been a post player his whole life.  He hangs around the perimeter even when he has smaller guys on him.  If he pulls a bigger guy out he should go around him but he settles for the shot a lot of the time.  Cody kid is a high energy kid with a decent game.  He does whatever to contribute. I agree his post moves are better and I believe he thinks before he does something.

Shocked nobody has Yslen more polished . I know his ACT's were low but come on he should have the blow buy move for a dunk by now . Oh how I would love to have had a kid like that for four years . Maybe Alcorn St can make him expand his game . So glad I don't cheer for station camp i would have gone crazy watching them this year .
