Preseason predictions can be all over the place, so let's see em! 2nd ever Battle of 840, and last year's home team won it. Will that be the case this year? When is the last time Page has even won at Fairview?

 

I'm feeling good about the Patriots this year! I think they are building on last year rather than starting over,but there's a lot of new faces playing major roles. I expect Fairview to be better and tougher at their place. Page 31-17

Fairview has a tendency to be sloppy the first couple games of the season. I hope that's not the case again.

The coach only played the starters for one series of offense and defense Friday night. He must think they're ready to go.

I hope it's a better game than last year.

Swarm I hear you all have a pretty good QB this year. You all going to be airing it out more?

We have a young and inexperienced quarterback. No doubt that he will be a good one but he has alot to prove at this point. I expect we'll be a run first offense this year. We're bigger up front than I have ever seen us. Also have a lot of capable ball carriers.

I would say that sounds like our offense too. What about Fairview's defense? We are pretty young and inexperienced overall, but we're also bigger on the Dline.

 

That trophy is coming back to Rudderville for another year! I think we got what it takes to beat Fairview and their refs! 🙄

After last year, nothing would surprise me in the outcome of this game. Usually the underdog either wins or plays the favorite alot tougher than expected in this game.

Having said that. I'm going with Fairview because of returning 18 starters and having home field advantage. I'm looking forward to a battle and hoping the rain stays away.

Safe travels to the 'View Patriot fans. Don't forget to bring that trophy! 😉

      Yes region 1 is extremely weak but a # 5 seed out of region 2 has no business in the playoffs either.

      They've had some great talent over the years. They usually don't whip no one but can be tough to stop on offence.

      Could be a lot of reason from what I’ve seen so far.  The lights wouldn’t turn on at Smyrna last night and had to move games to Blackman could be a reason or maybe he is talking about how on some of the games on NFHS network the camera placement was absolutely asinine. ( had a camera set up right in front of a net and couldn’t see crap)

      If Gordonsville can manage getting through these next 2 games without using him it will be ideal. ER was the last team to not have to pitch their #1 till the state championship i believe. Worked out well for them but they also had one of the best 1A staffs of all time that year. Only allowed one run the whole tournament and it was in the 7th inning.

      And he’s not even their #1. Lights out performance. Gordonsville is in the drivers seat with their #1 arm available throughout the tournament.
