I understand that completely. I don't think there's anything to be concerned with on the violations front, however. Who was the new QB coach this year?

I hear it's only a matter of time before the Clayton announcement comes out. If that's true does it change anything about this region or was it more talent than coaching at Hillsboro anyway? That's not a stab at the coaching at Hillsboro, just an honest question.

Hillsboro was 9-21 before Clayton got there. 43-21 the 5 years he was there. I'd say he coached his talent up well.. The only real team he had that was just Uber talented was the 2014 team that went 14-1..

I honestly don't know, that's why I'm asking. Using the information provided, couldn't one day, remove the 2014 team that was 14-1 and the four year record was 29-20? I would say that's average with the talent I've seen there.

 

Again, I really don't know, just playing devils advocate at this point.

Year 2 -6-6 lost to Clarksville Northeast 2nd round

Year 3- 14-1- Lost to Knoxville West State Championship

Year 4- 9-4- lost to Indy in State Quarterfinals

Year 5- 7-5- lost to Indy 2nd Round

 

I'm sure most schools would take that, especially a Metro Nashville school... Looks like he has lost to the eventual state champion 4 out of 5 years, that is assuming Indy gets it done this year

That's a pretty tough draw.

 

Wasn't really trying to question whether he was a good coach or not, just wondering if people think there will be a drop off if in fact he does leave. I venture to say Hillsboro will be just as competitive as they have been. Of course, I could be wrong.

I think they need to make a good hire.. If they make s good hire, then they should stay competitive..

I agree with that completely. The talent pool is deep and I believe A LOT of quality people will apply.
