Lincoln Memorial University Railsplitters Women's Soccer Coach "L" Helio D'Anna has left his post after 15 years as the womens and mens coach to take over as the Men;s soccer coach only. As LMU plans for their transition from Div 2 to Div 1; guess the growth has required a need for 2 seperate coaches.

Don't know anything about this school but looked at their record. Why are they going Div 1? They have lost quite a bit so that jump might be very difficult early on. Is there a monetary incentive?

Ummm.. you posted on a women's soccer board, about a women's soccer job so I looked them up. Right?

 

Yep I've heard of UTC and saw Gavin today at Baylor. He's turning that program around but has a long way to go.

Can't talk to coaches because my daughter is in high school.

 

Why are you being defensive? I knew nothing about the school. You posted about a job opening and moving to D1 so I looked up the school.

You specifically mentioned the soccer coach vacancy and the move to D1. I noted they had a tough year and that the move to D1 might be rough. Then I asked if it was influenced by economics. One sport wouldn't dictate the move by any means and I never suggested otherwise.

 

I am not familiar with the school and had actually never heard of it prior to your post. That is why I asked my question. Seems like a very nice campus though.

I'm sure its a great school and program. Im just not familiar with all the D2,3, NAIA type schools outside of middle TN.
