them Spartans must b really really good for Aluminum City to dodge them.....hope the Irish can make it thru pregame warm-ups

Booger just sayin :popcorneater:

It'll be the best team Webb has had in quite a while. Probably only 2013 (TK Senior Year Brant Mitchell Junior Year) and 2010 teams could play with them in the past 7 years.

Rankin told close affiliat at Webb he wasn't interested in the speed Webb would have this year. Rising Junior ran a 10.9 in the 100 and rising Freshman ran at 10.82 last week. Webb definitely wanted to play this year. Would have been by far there best chance to knock off Alcoa. Webb only loses 3 starters from a last years team.

Would much rather play Alcoa than Ensworth. They may be one of the best teams in the state all divisions next year. I'd say top 5 for sure.

keep repeating those 100 clock times every time a post is made and someone might become a wear that webb has a player that can run a strait line just a little faster than the rest of the guys on his team

how fast do those webb guys run the 100

Booger just sayin

Impressive times for sure and it surely impressed you when Oak Ridge couldn't keep up with the 8th grader? I mean even Booger knows Webb beat Oak Ridge behind the play of the fast 8th grader right? Edited by Playerscoach

Speaking of linemen.....Booger is on to something, as usual. We played both CAK and Webb last year, and yes, embarrassingly, we are that team (Webb beat us 41-0) the Aluminum Tornado replaced Webb with as their week 1 opponent. Y'all can get excited as you want about the sub 4.4 speed in Webb's backfield. It won't matter if they don't have anywhere to run.....they WILL have holes to run through. This will most likely be the best O-line Webb lines up with in a long time, if ever. We have much respect for KJ and his road graders!

I'll leave CAK alone to get better like we are trying to do. We both need to improve in order to compete successfully at the D-II level. They for sure will (adding a great young line coach)....we already have. We'll see who comes out on top in October on a Thursday night. It should be fairly good Rivalry Thursday TV for those of you who are football junkies and can't make the game at GCA. Last year's game came down to us being stupid from 1st and goal at the 2. There is absolutely NO WAY that CAK stops us 4 times running behind the H-back and big OT if we don't try to get cute. But.....we did. CAK won....they are better until we prove differently.

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
