54 points from the other 3 is pretty good support, you think ? Brooks is the best player on the team and possibly the district but she is not all they have. It doesn't take a genius to make the containing Brooks statement but they have others that can score.

Brooks is the play maker, sit her down and see how the others do without her getting the attention she does. Good luck to PC.

The regular season results mean nothing at this time. I believe if Summertown can withstand the initial storm that Richland may start with because of playing a region game at home and with what I would expect a rowdy home crowd, I think Summertown will come out on top. SHA looked good on Friday night with what looked like a rotation that looked similar to earlier in the season. The Loretto/PC game I still think comes down to how well Loretto defends Brooks. She is an energizer bunny, its amazing how much ground she can cover. I still believe with Lorettos defense and good guard play, they win....Setting up a 4th matchup between SHS/LHS

Very well said.  So many people discount the fact that when you have a dominant player and other teams have to game plan for that player, it leads to easier baskets and shots for other players.  You are right about Brooks and others are right about having additional players that can score, but if Brooks doesn't play, likely the others may struggle.  The team is good because Brooks takes pressure off of other players and the other players can deliver.

Taking nothing away from the other 3 players you mentioned, but your telling me that if Brooks is not playing, those 3 have the same production? No way, then the focus goes to Hinson or one of the others. We will see tomorrow what Lorettos game plan is. Just for arguments sake, maybe Brooks scores zero points and we will see if those other 3 put up 54 like they did against Mt Pleasant.

    • Groves got the ball over 20+ times. His son arguably played the best for East in that game. 3rd and long multiple times and he came up big to continue a couple drives. Please shut up for the 3rd year in a row
    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
