Don't rule out Chynia Brooks at Perry County in 1A. She can play with anyone. Just need to make sure that she is not overlooked. She has proven on several occasions that she can single handedly take over a game. Barring injury, she will go over 2000 pts for her career.

District,regional, and sectionals are fine the way they are. Reward the higher seeds with home satellite games till the semis it gives you more to play for. Let's fix the real problem, the officiating!

I just mentioned Oak Ridge in comparison to Humboldt not as they being the best overall just better than Humboldt, as they should be because of being two classes higher. Just an observation AH.

Rankings are just for fans interests. Bottom line is which team is best overall. East hands down best team in state BA #2 Humboldt may not be in top ten but surely not in the same conversation with East, BA, Oak Ridge

That's right, you can only play who's on the schedule! He brings it every game. Why in the world would you not have everything go through him the last 3 minutes of the game? It's not like Harriman stopped him, they didn't/couldn't even slow him down. He will be just fine with the Sycamores. I bet some college coaches are kicking themselves for not getting in on him earlier. Bird played there and he turned out okay? I would be interested to see how many have been in contact since the tournament. Has he signed or just committed?

Kirk Haston came back in 1997 and was Class A Mr Basketball tournament MVP state champs and Perry Co was 37-0, I'm pretty sure.

I'm not surprised at the officiating but I expected better in tournament. It's just an extension of the regular season, they're awful! I'm not saying TSSAA encourages it but they don't do anything to discourage it either and they are not held accountable.

D**n why don't some of these people just give the kid credit and quit all this crap about what he can't do or what he won't be able to do in college. Let him get there ! One thing is for sure, nobody in HS has stopped him yet. Think about what was just said. He didn't get 50, no but he's averaging 44 in the state tournament ! I guess Clay can win when Key is off. He only had 34, so I guess he did have more support because Ledford had 34. You know a player is good when he's held under his average and still has 34. Also showed how unselfish he is with assists and at the end he could've held it so he could shoot fts but didn't. Also broke state single season scoring record with over 1300 pts. Not bad for a good "single A" player. LOL 😋ðŸ€

GCA is not the only private playing tomorrow. Don't sleep on Columbia Academy. They will give Harriman all they can handle and maybe more. Don't be surprised if it's an all private final.

You are 100 percent correct with one exception, money should take a backseat but never will with TSSAA. It should be up to the individual schools and parents of the players whether they can play or not. If the schools can work it out with their classes and parents are on board then they should be able to play.

50 percent rule is on page 36 of TSSAA handbook

It's called 50 percent rule which is 3 basketball and 5 baseball and softball etc. but if you look up the rule, I believe it only applies during school year doesn't apply after school is out for summer. For instance if you play in a tournament in July and school starts in August you're good but can't play after school starts with more than 3.

Traditionally UT is a better program than WKU, but not sure they're that much better right now ? We're not talking about the Pat Summit lead Lady Vols. Just another opinion.

Nope not a homer, just stating my opinion. Never been to Greeneville. Not taking anything away from Meadows she's a great player just not as good all around as Lamb. Golden from Huntland is pretty darn good too. Lamb is great in transition offense and defense and halfcourt in both. Meadows is only a factor in the halfcourt. I know you will say she brought it down court and that was impressive but Lamb is a more complete player. Lamb can play all positions, Meadows can play one.

Yep, pretty easy to block for backs like David Latimer and Brian Stone. LOL !

The 1A game had two Miss Basketball players the one that won (Meadows) and the one that should've won (Lamb). No way Meadows should have beaten Lamb !

But that being said I'm sure the knee injury had a lot to do with part of that. Hats off to her for coming back and her rehab, sure it was hard. Seems like a good kid as well as player.
