Lack of exposure

I realize this is primarily a High School forum but I feel compeled to ask this question. Why do the Lady Vols get little if any press in the Knoxville Paper? They are in the NCAA tournament and haven't had a front page article yet.. This brings up another question. Why doesn't the Knoxville papers put the high school all district teams in the paper? Knoxvilles coverage of soccer is terrible. I understand this is a football town but lets give a little press to some of the other sports.

We don't get coverage in Middle Tn for Vandy, MTSU, Lipscomb, Trevecca, Belmont, etc.

Good question. The responsibility ultimately lies with the AD, SID and the coach, Angela Kelly. The local papers have lots of sports stories to compete from for space. To her credit, she has a roster with plenty of Tennessee players unlike Vanderbilt which does not appear to recruit/promote inside the state.

From Vandy's perspective, I think that will change

soon.....recruiting that is. Coach Hill will be the state coach for the 88' Girls ODP team.
