Fayetteville City takes on Richland in region 5 1-A

So there was no follow up from any Richland supporters on the final outcome of this region match.  Fayetteville's Tigers came out strong and coasted til the finish, ending in a 42-6 victory.  I cannot offer any thoughts or opinions because I was not able to actually watch any but 4 minutes of the third quarter.  I had concession stand duties that night, and while I did have a radio to try and listen to the broadcast, I couldn't follow much of the play.  And even though the game was live streamed by FHS, my signal was sketchy.  I do know that FHS' ground game was VERY strong, #22 Moore got 2 or 3 of the touchdowns and I think he hit his 100 yard game.  Both our QBs had a good night in the air and with their feet.  The defense came up big several times also, including at least one interception.  The lone score for RHS came literally in the last minutes of the 4th, and our littles held them out of the end zone on the 2 pt conversion.  Lots of youth got on the field Friday, good for the future of the program.  And even better that we had put ourselves in that position from the onset, and not because of injuries or because we had to.  

One topic that generated a lot of discussion on our side was the 15 yard penalty assessed to the Tiger band.  Really?  Supposedly, the Richland coach complained that the band, all 24 of them, were playing during the Raiders offensive possessions, hindering their play calling.  I don't know what the rules are to that, but I know that it got our boys fired up and they didn't let up after that. 

One question of Richland--do ya'll not have anyone that can kick or punt?  I heard the radio announcer saying the Raiders went for it on 4th and a lot several (2 or 3?) times in their own field.  They made it once I think but the other times were stuffed.  Even if you can't kick, can't you at least throw it up for a deep interception?  Just wonderin'.
