Playoffs!?!?!

did you just say playoffs!?!?!?

lucky for U Slice...the T$$AA brain trust decided that the only way they could scam the public outta more money when they split this new Private MIddle Class into 3 groups...was to make sure that the 5 outta each group got a post season game for gate money.....regardless of record......so Slice and his Bucs r assured to travel and donate their money to the T$$AA BoC Salarys......if Slice can get by Silverdale Friday

...you can always drop by Vermont Avenue and see if we can find sum room for u slice....sum wild times along that fence at game time

They thought the green would get mixed up and confuse your lepricons and they could take advantage and score more often than not. Apparently that didn't happen.

I'm going to put this opinion on this thread because it affects Boyd, CAK & Silverdale this year. The other 4 East teams have locked up playoff spots.

This year, 5 of 7 EAST teams make the playoffs, while 6 of 7 WEST teams make the playoffs and 5 of 5 MIDDLE teams make the playoffs.

Next year 6 of 7 EAST; 5 of 7 WEST; 5 of 5 MIDDLE.

The year after that, it reverts back to this years model.

Why does MIDDLE get 5 of 5 teams every year?

In addition, MIDDLE is the only section where 2 teams from the same section can meet in the finals.

In other words, an EAST team will never play an EAST team in the finals ... same for WEST.

It's probably a non-issue since most of the 1 vs. 5 (or 6) games are going to be blowouts, but once the decision is made to put 16 teams in the playoffs, it should be done fairly. In future years, today's blowout games may not be blowouts.

because that 5 in the middle could very easliy have been 6 or 7.....BA and Ensworth who are small enuff to b DII-AA decide to play up.....the Cerebral wizards that run T$$AA were layin it out as if those 2 would stay....the Nashville recruitin wars would have killed them 2 if they had stayed down....by the time it was 100% for certain BA & Ensworth were playin up with the really big boys it was to late to make an adjustment the tri-fecta of DII-AA..

...the BoC had spent so much of their Gulf Shores Beach Condo time re-negotiatin a 450 to 530 enrollment cut-off number deal among each other so the Haslams Pilot Petro school of Knoxville whos coach is a BoC member, St Elmo Christian and Lipscomb whos AD is BoC member would not have to play up in Football.....when Happy Hour at the Pink Pony Pub and the activities had taken their tole....any changing of playoff teams had done fell off the table

The Sword of Joshua Independent Full Gospel Pentecostal Assembly  still cut a deal to play down below the 450 number in all other sports...though they had like 8 or 30 over

so Booger tickled pink its 5 in da middle

Yep....I was right! Booger IS USUALLY RIGHT!!! It probably didn't hurt to have the Govna Haslam make a call to Sir Bernie C and make sure they took care of ole Sparty's HOF coach and his team of Super Dupers that want to play down to have a better shot to get more of those gold balls. THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN THREE EVENLY DIVIDED DIVISIONS!!!

It’s pretty sad that a team with maybe 0 wins will be in the playoffs...  16 out of 20 is really the problem I think, there should have just been two classifications.  6 for 300 schools and then 3 for 55?

Oh no Booger! Youve been discovered! Better go out and get you a new T name since ANW dont like hearing truth. Booger calls it as straight as the catlick line for the real stuff during offering.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
