Good size it seems. Looks to be about like us. The biggest line we faced was Dobyns Bennett and those guys were the biggest in the state hands down. Go check out Bvd’s videos on YouTube from this year

I saw the video from the DB game. Those were some big Kids.

We’ve got some big ole boys though. Gotta be careful when throwing the ball because are dbs are very good as you may have seen

We don't have the size in the secondary that we had last year. We graduated nearly every one of them. You will see our middle linebacker is about 5'7 and a keg of dynamite. He have a cast on from where he broke his arm in october. Heart and soul of our team. Love the way that kid plays ball.

So how’s the coverage against a good passing attack?

Just don’t forget the frenchie fries! If you wanna sit down and eat go to the commons for pals or drive thru on the 11e. If I’m able I’ll come meet ya

Sounds like a plan. I hope we can get on the road in time to get there early. We went to Chattanooga in 15 to play East Hamilton in the quarterfinals and was dead set on going to Che Burger Che Burger before the game and got caught in traffic on 75. Dadgum shame we missed out on that place.

Man we were young early in the year but they have grown up a ton as the season progressed. Week 2 we played Shelbyville and they threw for 407 against us. They had a stud quarterback and some great recievers though. They did that to alot of teams so it really wasn't a good way to guage that performance. Shelbyville's QB set the single game state record against Summitt with 600+ passing yards and they have a pretty good secondary. Since then we have been picking off alot of passes. Bachus for Giles County is a really good QB and we picked him a couple times in our game against them.

We have a lot of speed at wide receiver as well and we have a sophomore stud rb #47 who just flat out mows people over!

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
