mhalionboy03
The Lions looked pretty good in their close losss to Bartlett in a Hall of Fame Game on Tuesday. Strong performances were given by Seniors Trey Williams and John Bradford. It appears as though Bradford has really worked on his perimeter shot and is dangerous on the outside and big enough to play down low with a lot of agression. He appears to be stepping up to fill the gap that Matt Shansky('02) left as far as rebounding is concerned. Trey is also a vey agressive player, and can shot very well. The Lions played two quarters in the DII West Jamboree tonight, losing to ECS 19-16, and beating Briarcrest 16-4 (I think it was four, not positive). The Lions got off to a slow start with ECS and allowed them to control the tempo. But despite a 3-10 deficit, 19-16 isn't too shabby. They looked excellent against Briarcrest with stellar defense and great shot selection. The Lions will play at Cumberland County on Saturday, I think it's a Hall of Fame Game. They are in a Thanksgiving Classic somewhere around Nashville playing Jackson County next Friday and Loudon on Saturday. There is certainly some room for improvement between now and late February, but Harding is off to a great start. GO LIONS!!!
TheEgoHasLanded
BCS was lucky to even field a team I take it. Didn't have lampkin and tapley and possibly a few more. They will definitely struggle. ECS and Harding have to be the early odds on favorite to win the region.
mhalionboy03
ECS looked pretty good, but CBHS played Lausanne and both of those teams looked good. They ended tied at 19. You always have to consider MUS in the postseason because of their tradition, look at last year for example. I didn't think Lausanne looked as good as they did last year, but Gasol can throw a kink into anyone's picks. I think Harding will win the region, MUS will get second, and Lausanne will beat ECS for third. It should be a fun season. Hopefully we will send three teams from Memphis to Murfreesboro and Harding will win it all. GO LIONS!
mofototo50
Bartlett beat lausanne tonight 66-61, gasol and taylor are really good! Harding is gunna run the show in the West. ECS just got one qtr. They will be the only competition. BCS is young so they wont do anything. MUS has Baum, Baum, and Baum. Bishop Byrne has Hampton and im sure more athletes. CBHS isnt as good as they where last year and shouldnt be able to compete w/ Harding. And St. Bendict is bad! Picks: 1. harding 2. ECS 3. BCS 4. lausanne 5. CBHS 6. MUS 7. Bishop Byrne 8. St. bendict 9. catholic 10. FACS
