The predictions of McMinn Central winning the State looks pretty safe, now. I really doubt that Central will meet another AA team with the talent of Farragut. And to beat them on the road, Central should be No. 1 when the polls come out and stay there all year. McMinn County very well could see two girls teams in the State this year. College coaches should set up a field office somewhere in this area.

Pitino ever heard of Martin Westview. They are flat out loaded and beat Farragut easily this summer in camp. Don't count out Little Man Number two Jim Brown. We all know that he is one of the top coaches in the state and will have his girls playing at the top of their game come state.

Westview beat Farragut by three at Shelbyville this summer at Thomas Middle School gym. I wouldn't call this a blowout would you?

mcminn central has one d-1 prospect at this time and farragut has 3 that have already signed d-1 scholarships. central won on the road at farragut. you make your own conclusions.

I would not hand McMinn Centralthe gold ball just yet , Giles Co. led by the big 3 (russell , leslie , howard) will have a say this year , already played Jackson Co. (won by 13 pts), also Chester Co. and Ridgeway will be there also .Giles 7-1 during scrimmages .

McMinn Central will be State Champs...that is a given. McMinn Lady Cherokees could very well come close. This could be the best team they have ever had. Yes, the 1999 and 2000 teams were real talented, and those teams would have gone to the state both years after hosting sub-states, if not for the failed experiment with the sectionals. But this team with Latham is real special.

Could be the best team in the state by the end of the year in any classification. Also, Oliver Springs will be a contender. Ridgeway loss their 2 post players, with thier sensaitonal soph. coming back. Hopefully, their guards have improved.
