wrestler04
So I'm trying to work on my picks for the state duals and when I look up teams in Trackwrestling, there are many who only have about half of their matches listed. Is there no rule that teams must record their results?
cchulk
Teams are required by tssaa to enter their weigh-ins. Many regions will require results to be entered in order to be considered for seeding at regions. If its not in Track, it didnt happen. sx1234
About half of the tournaments, and most of the matches, I go watch every year aren't on track. TSSAA may require all district or region results (no idea what the rule is) but I would say a lot of the kids who have about 10 matches on their track profile truthfully have had around 25 matches this season. Not every wrestler has a track profile and some of those are wrong anyways. To see the most up to date results you have to search for a team and then go to the matches part and look up individual wrestlers. For the coaches that actually input all their dates it is usually pretty accurate
Daysareshortnightsarelong
Exact record never seems to be correct. Track shows one, coach has another (used for seeding) and what the parent keeps up with from watching every match is not the same as the other 2 records. As goblue said the match record on track is usually pretty close if the wrestler has a profile.
mrfixalot49
Most parents that keep up are spot on with their own kids win loss average. Track wrestling runs a very close second to the parents. Rankwrestler is also very close but can be off at times as with Track. Pin Tn is wrong at times. Sometimes a kid will have a pin and he will have a dec. I'm sure it is due to the Info they are receiving from the individual matches.
