Seen some game footage on CD and Central. Central laid the wood to CD all the way up to the half. Central probably lost because they did not follow through and keep laying wood. North will lay the wood for four quarters. Also watched some footage of CD and Johnson County. Looks like JC burnt CD up through aerial attack. If North stomps on the gas and tosses it around every now and then, they will win. I believe a lot of opinions on here favoring CD are from their game with the forge. Do not underestimate the North Defense. They are solid.

North wins 27-21. CD just couldn't do anything on offense in the second half. Grubbs returned a kick and caught a 4th quarter td for CD but they really couldn't get him the ball enough, and CD couldn't stop the run in the 4th quarter. It was 0-0 after 1, 14-14 at the half, and 14-14 after 3. Good game throughout. Also just a question, I don't go to a lot of high school games outside of Chuckey Doak, do bands usually play while the teams are playing? Like playing to purposely make noise to distract the other team. I don't really have a problem with it but just can't remember if I've seen another school do it.

Yes. Especially during kickoff and kickoff return.

    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
