Spartan, what do you think about this Friday? Webb has had our number recently, BGA. BGA is healthy and has good experience.  Most starters have started since they were Soph. Seems we always have trouble with Webb. Maybe this year is different.

Don't let ole Sparty sandbag ya. Though they lost a ton off the line from last year, they seemed to figure it out midway through the season. They have a GREAT COACHING STAFF! That doesn't hurt. They have great senior leadership that will have to carry them the rest of the way this season. I've always thought Jefferson was their best threat....he's going to get to prove it now. I think I'm going to sneak out and come watch this one. It should be a dandy!

Webb’s not at full strength so that doesn’t make me super confident. I haven’t seen BGA this year by common opponent ECS we both lost to. I think you all lost 20-7 and Webb lost 13-10 but we were healthy. So I will try to watch some film on BGA to get a better feel.

Jefferson may be the most underrated four year starter to play in Knoxville. No one talks about him and he’s an absolute stud.

UT-Martin has offered and other schools on that level are also interest. If he was a little taller I think he’d have even more interest.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
