DII-A Girls - Early Reviews

Looks like early performance will give the mid-state nod to Goodpasture and Clarksville Academy on their side of the district (both undefeated at the time of this post). Providence Christian and FRA will be in the hunt on the other side. CPA has struggled a little out of district, but will make it interesting as it gets closer to tourney time. Any observations from anyone else? What about early reviews on new coaches in the region?

In the East - District 1 (Knoxville area), the CAK (Christian Academy of Knoxville) girls are playing well. Beat BGA & FRA pretty handily this weekend at FRA. They have a couple of really good players & a strong supporting cast, and are well coached as well. They will most likely battle Knox Webb  for the District Championship. Webb has played a brutal non-conference schedule, but it will surprise me if they aren’t the biggest challenge for CAK. The winner will be a strong contender for the DII-A Final Four. 

In East - District 2 (Chattanooga area), Silverdale Baptist beat Chattanooga Christian Friday & will face Notre Dame Tuesday to see who will be the only team without a District loss  heading in to the Christmas break. Notre Dame has played a tough non-conference schedule too & should be battle tested by the end of the year. 

CAK beat Silverdale handily earlier in the year in Knoxville, so they look to be the favorite from the East unless Webb can beat them.
