Big 6 Sports will be hosting tryouts this Sunday Feb. 10 from 3-4pm at Hillwood High School in Nashville, TN.  Tryouts are for 6th and 7th grade boys.  Two teams from each age group will be formed.  The 6th grade travel team played last year under the name "The Ville 2025" and will be seeking to add a post player and athletic wing to its roster from last year.  In addition, we will also be starting an additional 6th grade and 7th grade team as well.  The pre existing 7th grade team is also looking to fill roster spots for Forwards and Centers.  Each team will play competitiveschedules with "The Ville 2025" playing on the National Circuit this year.  Feel free to contact us with any questions.  Pre-register at www.big6sports.com.  615-593-6159

    • I think Gibson County is a top five team this next season but I do agree they will drop off a lot after this year.  Westview lost a ton and will be down this season and hopes of returning to glass house again is slim.  The run they have had is super impressive!
    • My take on GC for this year: Based on what I saw last year and heard this summer, I’m not sure GC could surprise me next year with any outcome. Wilkins is a great coach - they could win the district and region and go to Murfreesboro. They could also come in third in the district and not get out of region. The two returning starters are very talented but Guru is right that they didn’t always play hard last year. The other three starters are good enough in their roles for GC to be successful. There is no depth. Foul trouble could be a problem - Wilkins may avoid it by playing a lot of zone. An injury would be catastrophic. I hope they have a big year and Wilkins rides off into the sunset in Murfreesboro because, without some significant transfers, there are some tough years coming in the next few.
    • Daniel Boone coming down to 3A makes this much tougher. They added a couple transfers to the Flores girl. Cocke Co, Northview, Greeneville, and Daniel Boone - only two headed to Murfreesboro.
    • You all couldn’t wait for Clarke to leave
