92Dragon Posted August 29, 2020 Author Report Share Posted August 29, 2020 45-14 Final from CAK. Clinton played 7 freshmen tonight and several sophomores. Coach Keith said after the game "Im not accustomed to losing and I'm not going to become accustomed to losing....so get your licks in now while you can". Unfortunately Thackerson went out in the 3rd quarter with an injury, but it seemed as if the freshman quarterback Keith sparked the offense. Keith threw a 44 yard completion before getting picked off a couple of plays later. Keith also had an impressive 68 yard td run for our first score. Clinton is playing hard and not giving up. I'm proud of the effort and attitudes these young players have. The coaching staff will turn things around. We just need to be patient. Hope thackerson is ok but you apparently have a dual QB threat. Utilize it. The defense appeared to step up 1st half. If they can play 1/2 then they have potential to play second half. I like the effort ! I'm glad to see the younger players getting so much playing time. They are the future of this program. Getting playing experience now will pay off big time in the future.
