DA's Swinea picks up where he left off

Davidson academy tailback Griffin Swinea starts the season off with a 77 yard TD. Finishes with 8 carries, 150 yards, 4 TDs, all in the first half.

Kid looked great today and he’s not the only one who can run the ball. Going to be another strong year for DA football.

USJ fan here and I was hoping he was a senior last year! Tough runner.

I chuckled when I saw a preseason all-state list that had him 2nd team. I still have nightmares about that guy. Just as memorable as the game he had was his class and humility in post-game interviews. Seems like a solid kid that represents his school well. All that said, hopefully the Bruins will have some better answers for him come week 6.
