Frontman
It looks like SEQUOYAH is going to be 0-10 for the second year in a row. How can this happen to a AAAA school with almost a thousand students. I feel sorry for the players.
ElGoat
Just an awfultalent pool for a school that size. All sports are that way. It’s a shame honestly. Four years ago they almost were classified to go tripleA (in the sports other than football). That would’ve been a death sentence.

It's not so much the talent pool as it is the schools and communitys desire to make football a priority. No one in the town with a voice or with the ability to make change has any desire to make it better. Trust me on that.

But to be one of the largest schools in their classification (in all sports) and to be a doormat isn’t the best look.

Nah bud, it's easy to think that considering their record at football for the last 20 years. Alot of schools have the same problem. Cumberland Gap is probably one of those schools just to mention one you may be familiar with . Its bigger than Meigs slightly by comparison but I've never known them to have a good team. Some communities and schools are just O.K with being mediocre or less honestly. The problem with that is the kids are the ones that suffer. My nephew is a freshman and rides the bench there at Sequoyah now. My sister recently asked me why Sequoyah is the way it is. I Told her the same thing I posted here. She had taken her son to some of our games at Meigs in 2018 to watch my kids play and he was hooked at how the crowd was and how the games went for us. She didnt and couldn't understand why it was different at Sequoyah when he made it to High School this year. It's been a big let down for them. This is Sequoyahs coaches 2nd year and he had some great coaches to learn from from what I've read. Phil Fulmer being one of them if I'm not mistaken it's been a while. ( my statement may not be fully accurate) but it was something along those lines. Anyhow turning something like Sequoyah around would take an intervention from alot more people than what are interested in doing so. Coaches need dedicated help also. Hixson normally has tons of talent that isnt harnessed. Alot of times their best talent transfers to keep from going through the same rough seasons year in and year out. REBELRON
I have several coworkers who are Sequayah fans. A coworker of mine coaches the 7 8 year old Vonore Blue Devils team while his son plays for the 9 10 year olds. They beat Meigs County yesterday. You can be a good coach but it takes having great assistant coaches also.
