wow....GC's coach Justin Lowery is an underrated coach...he's at a school known for girls basketball and band and they beat #2 Humboldt...known for....boys basketball...

Coach Lowery is a good coach & Gibson County played a great game. Gibson County hit a half court three (3) pointer at buzzer to go into overtime. In overtime, Gibson County made their free-throws in overtime  and Humboldt didn't. Coach Lowery is doing a good job & GC almost beat Madison Academic Magnet ranked #1 in state lost by 1 point (39-38). So, 14A is going to come down to who is playing team ball come tournament time & Coach Lowery understands that you have to slow the pace of the game down, keep score low & give team a chance to win at the end of game, GC can't run up & down the floor with teams but has a couple big guys (6'6 & 6'5) that will give teams trouble down low. Since, 15A & 16A don't have schools playing basketball in Shelby County, Region 7A might get an automatic bid to state due to not having to play a sub state game.

Some of the charter schools found a way around it.

I think MASE is also playing as well..MAHS has had about 5-6 games or more I do believe....they beat Briarcrest twice, gave them their first loss
