Region Finals...Two #1s?

If there are two #1 teams in the region finals, who hosts? Is it a coin toss, or is it the district whose turn it to host, gets to play at home?

It’s an odd year so the odd district hosts if it is the same seed.

Per TSSAA website

1. Division I Tournament Site - All region tournament games will be played at the higher seed. If two schools are the same seed, the district that was scheduled to host the region tournament will be considered the higher seeded team and will host that game (Due to it being an odd-numbered year, the odd-numbered district (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15) shall host the game.).

Thanks. That's what I thought they would do but I  wasn't sure. The finals should have been on a neutral court for both the district and region finals. Last night Upperman was wall to wall fans...how was that covid safe? There was no reason not to have them at a neutral site since schools ignored the covid recommendations.

McKenzie is having elbow-to-elbow crowds as well.

Local tv coverage shows about 5% of the crowd with a mask.

Perhaps TSSAA will consider this and allow more fans in M'boro.

But yep, this is an odd hosting year.
