DRESDEN LIONS 2021

HOWDY Y’ALL! Didn’t see any topics for Dresden’s 2021 season, so here I go. 
 
Lions have a new school principal, several new teachers, and a “new” head coach, who ain’t new.. Coach Keith Hodge is returning “home” to Dresden. To say there is a buzz of anticipation afloat is an understatement!!! Plus our new Region 6 classification, and new matchups in playoffs with Region 5 teams.. man oh man.. anything can happen! Old rivalries will be restored in seasonal play with several fellow Region 6 teams.. all in all this should be an awesome year! These new classification are going to wear some tires out come game time. Loooong trips ahead for all of us. Man it’d be awesome if Dresden could “shock the world” & rise up and have homefield advantage through the whole playoffs! Yep.. I’m still a crazy dreamer.. but all things start with a dream, right?

TODAY- FRIDAY AUGUST 6 at 6:00 pm is a scrimmage at Camden. Now I just called Camden, they said it will be a 3-way with Camden, Lake County, & Dresden. BUT.. here on CoachT they’re saying Lake Co is scrimmaging  Trousdale at Bethel. idk. But two Lion prides will be in Camden, maybe some birds or other animals will show up too. Ha. 

Then, next week after this is JAMBOREE in Paris, TN. (anyone have info on that?)

I hope 2021 will be “THE SEASON” we get back to DRESDEN DOMINATION. HOOYAY! Time will tell.
 And in playoffs, as most know, our top 4 in Reg. 6 will play Reg. 5’s top 4, which will be from these worthy schools: 
•Collinwood Trojans
•Cornersville Bulldogs
•Eagleville Eagles 
•Fayetteville Tigers 
•Huntland Hornets
•Moore County Raiders
•Wayne County Wildcats

Then the ultimate winner of our 5v6 bracket vs the 7v8 winner will be in FINAL FOUR. Then next it’s PLAY FOR GOLD! Win 5 straight in playoffs, you’re CHAMPS!

I saw on a post that LC scored 5 TD’s against Camden’s 0 in first session. The new 1A-Reg.7 has some powerful teams. All that gold earned in the last decade by the teams in that region could pay off a big chunk of the nat’l debt. Ha. That’s probably THE region to watch this year.

I wouldn't put to much stock in the scrimmage with Dresden. LC had played for hour against Camden and Dresden was fresh. They should be on LC schedule but declined to play for some reason. I know why but will save that for another day. With that being said I do however think Dresden will be a playoff team this year. They definitely were placed in a easier region. They could finish 2nd in that region. McKenzie will win that region.
