USJ is a very good team. Much respect. I will say our guys never gave up and actually moved the ball good many times. The penalties hurt us as we reached the red zone  a few more times but ended up 15 to 20 yards back due to these penalties . Not saying we would have won but could have been at least a two score game. Either way I’m very proud of how we fought and never gave up. We will not face a better line this year. Good luck the rest of the year USJ. Go Tornadoes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A couple of minutes in, this one looked like we'd have a running clock by halftime. Credit to Union City. They fought the whole game and were able to put together several drives and eat up the clock. Good luck to y'all the rest of the season.

Nice showing by USJ, though still some areas for improvement. QB sure looks confident throwing the ball deep, and we have the athletes to make plays. As dominant as the running game has been, we'll definitely need that to keep the top teams honest.

    • You wanna talk about zoned for Bearden.  Lol.  I don't think so.  But my point was who can blame a kid for not wanting to be in a private school.  Nobody is zoned for a private school, it's a free country right?
    • Great win for the Pirates. State Tourney bound !
    • You're talking about the running back, right? I don’t believe he was zoned for west, but there were numerous players that came from TKA a few years ago and still are. I’m sure some are, but the majority aren’t.
    • Gratitude abounds for Blake Satterfield, whose five-year tenure as the head coach and exemplary ambassador for Trousdale County and its educational system has left an indelible mark. His strategic leadership during playoff seasons was nothing short of remarkable. Anticipating that his future endeavors will be equally impressive.  Perhaps the board members will refrain from undermining the incoming coach as they did in Blake's case.
    • Yeah that's true, I was talking more about football.  If you go to a TKA game, there's nobody there.  The only people there are the parents of cheer and parents of players.    The kid that left and came to West was zoned for West and decided to quit private and go public school.  He won two state championships at West, so hard to blame him there.
